Oklahoma City, A Memorial

Travel Day

  • Hays, KS to Salina, KS via I-70
  • Salina, KS to Oklahoma City, OK via I-135/I-35

Kansas, still. Endless horizons, still

There are trees in Kansas, you know. Just making sure.

Finally headed south to Oklahoma City!

You gotta pay to drive on this sucker!

We are there; Oklahoma City, almost.

The Oklahoma City National Monument; in memory of one of the deadliest attacks of domestic terrorism ever on American soil. Each of these seats represents a person killed in the attack. There are 189 chairs.

The reflecting pool at the memorial site.

Bricktown in Oklahoma City. It's the old part of town where all the fun stuff happens. Today they were setting up for St. Patrick's Day, which would explain why we could not get a hotel downtown.
