We left Tallahassee and headed down central Florida, away from the seashore.
Inland, there is a combination of small farms and cypress forests, all subject to the swamps and springs that abound in this part of Florida.
We explored some of the side roads and back roads, taking a look at some of the springs and swamps along the way.
This is very typical of the forest floor in most of the central part of Florida.
There are large patches of forest where active logging is taking place.
The sunset over the Gulf of Mexico, a nice end to our day of driving.
